Plymouth Lib Dems Announce By-Election Candidates

Plymouth Liberal Democrats have announced their candidates, ahead of the July 27th City Council by-elections. Peter Edwards (Plymstock Dunstone) and Hugh Janes (St Peter and the Waterfront) both stood in the May 2023 local elections for their respective wards.

Speaking about the candidates, Katie McManus (Plymouth Liberal Democrat Chair) said:

"We're delighted to have two excellent candidates standing in the July by-elections. Both candidates are local to their wards and understand the importance of listening to the needs of residents. Peter volunteers with the Community Advice and Support Service (CASS+) and Hugh Chairs Environment Plymouth. They both have a track record of helping local communities and will be dedicated Councillors for the City."
